The almost-best croissants & macarons in Đà Lạt
La Lapine began in 2019, in a small kitchen at home. Day after day, we made pastries, packed them into boxes, then delivered them ourselves. And that was our life for five years.
In 2024, when the timing finally felt right, we opened our first location with the Phô Mai family — who are part of our family, too. Between us are two little ones, one named Thỏ and the other Phô Mai. Put the two names together and you get Thỏ Mai — the little bunny you still see on our pastry boxes, cups and in little corners around the shop. A year later, our second little shop came along.
We never set out to make somewhere fancy. We just want the croissant to smell of butter and crackle when you bite into it; your coffee to be brewed hot when you order it, not made ahead and left waiting; and your table to be wiped down before you sit.
As for what makes us happiest... scroll just a little further and you'll see.

Croissant for those who like a crisp crust, macaron for the sweet-toothed, pain au chocolat and pain suisse au chocolat for chocolate lovers, and madeleine for those who love a soft, fluffy bite.
Our house coffee is 100% robusta — bold, familiar to Vietnamese tastes, and just as at home in a latte or cappuccino. If you prefer something lighter with a gentle acidity, switch to arabica. For an afternoon or evening coffee without worrying about staying awake, we have decaf. Oat milk is a free upgrade in any milk-based drink.
Some guests come back to La Lapine several days in a row simply because they've found a place in Đà Lạt with both decaf coffee and oat milk. Little stories like these keep us going, and make us want every guest who drops by to find one — or a few — pastries and a coffee that genuinely suit their taste.

After every visit, we still read every review people leave us. What surprised us was that alongside the pastries and coffee, our team gets mentioned more than anything else.
Sometimes it's simply a cheerful hello, helping with directions for someone new to Đà Lạt, or a cup of hot tea brought over while it's raining outside. They're small things, but they can make a visit feel that little bit nicer.
We don't want our team to speak from a script. We just hope everyone notices the little things: maybe you're looking for a power socket, need another chair, want directions, or simply want to sit quietly by the window. To us, taking good care of people starts with simple things like these.
This is also a place where we hope our team can grow. Working at La Lapine isn't only about earning a wage; it's also about learning to be kind, responsible, thoughtful and proactive with yourself, our guests, suppliers, partners and the work itself — things you can carry with you wherever life takes you next.
And on the days when we don't quite get things right, please tell us — we'll take it on board, fix it, and do our best not to make the same mistake twice.
